ExxonMobil Pledges US$300,000 For Earthquake Relief
Jakarta, October 13, 2009 – Exxon Mobil Corporation through its affiliates in Indonesia today announced a donation of approximately 3 billion rupiah (US$300,000) for disaster relief efforts in West Sumatra, in the aftermath of the massive earthquakes that struck near Padang on September 30. ExxonMobil’s contribution will go to local relief and non-governmental organizations (NGO) for rehabilitation programs to further assist the earthquake victims.
In addition to the donation, employees of the company have initiated a fundraising campaign to help victims of the quake. The company will match all contributions made by employees to the relief effort.

ExxonMobil is committed to helping the communities in and around the affected area as they recover from this tragedy," said Terry S. McPhail, President and General Manager of ExxonMobil in Indonesia. "I am very proud of our employees for wanting to do their part by donating their own resources to help those in need.”
ExxonMobil is a major investor in Sumatra and across all of Indonesia. ExxonMobil affiliates operate production sharing contracts in oil and gas fields in Aceh Province in northern Sumatra.
